Twenty young foreign citizens to start traineeships in the Azores under Eurodyssey programme

A new group of Eurodissey programme trainees, consisting of 20 young people, is about to start their traineeship in the Azores.
The new Eurodyssey group will stay in the Region during the next six months. The first month will be exclusively dedicated to the learning of the Portuguese language and the remaining five months will be spent in a real work environment. The traineeship covers the areas of tourism, biology and environmental protection, business management, advertising, marketing and communication, media, arts and cultural production.
Trainees come from the regions of Brussels-Capital and Wallonia (Belgium), Istra (Croatia), Rhône-Alpes and Ile-de-France (France) and Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia (Spain).
The young trainees who will undertake the traineeship on the islands of São Miguel, Terceira, Pico and Faial, will be welcomed by the Regional Director for Employment and Vocational Training, Ilda Baptista, on June 6 at 11:30 AM.
Eurodyssey is an exchange programme of the Assembly of European Regions (AER) that promotes traineeships abroad for a period between three and seven months. This initiative is targeted at youngsters between 18 and 30 who are looking for a job.
This programme aims to provide youngsters with professional experience and, simultaneously, provide them with the opportunity to learn a foreign language or improve their knowledge of it.
