The 32 European youngsters who have just finished their traineeships in the Azores as part of the Program of the Assembly of the Regions of Europe, Eurydice, are received on Friday, in Ponta Delgada, by the regional director for Employment and Vocational Training.
In a closure that marks the closure of the period of traineeships of the Eurydice 2008, Rui Bettencourt, which fulfils the post of Secretary-general of that Program, delivers to the youngsters the certificates of conclusion of traineeship and of Portuguese language and culture course, which they attended in the first month of stay in the Region.
The trainees received in the Azores have between the 18 and 30 years old came from several regions of Europe, like Catalonia and Valencia (Spain), Poitou-Charentes, Parisian Region and Rhône-Alpes (France), Brussels and Wallonia (Belgium), Harghita (Romania), Akershus (Norway) and Varaždin (Croatia), and carried out, during six months, traineeships in so different areas like Biology, Veterinary, Informatics, Multimedia, Audiovisual and Tourism.
Of the enterprises and institutions that received the trainees, there are detached the University of the Azores, through its Biology, Oceanography and Fisheries and Sciences of the Education departments, the IMAR, the INOVA, the Açormedia, the IRIS, the Regional Directorate for Culture and the IAC, the Tourism Delegation of São Miguel, travel agencies, enterprises of the industry of the dairy products or associations of nature.
