The Regional Director for Employment and Vocational Training, Ilda Baptista, will participate in the presentation ceremony of new 2014 FIOS projects, during which the participants in the 2013 projects will receive the programme completion certificates.

The FIOS programme (Training, Integration and Social Occupation) is an initiative that was developed by the Regional Directorate for Labour and. It is exclusively targeted at Social Integration Income programme beneficiaries who are currently unemployed and face difficulties in the access to the labour market, such as lack of school certification and low levels of professional qualification.

The event will be held in Angra do Heroísmo and Praia da Vitória on Friday. In addition to the presentation of new projects that will start soon and the delivery of 88 certificates (43 in Angra do Heroísmo and 40 in Praia da Vitória), the Village Councils of Porto Martins and Terra Chã and the "Casa do Povo" of Santa Bárbara will present their testimonies as promoters of the projects and their practical implementation.

The programme also includes the delivery of 31 partnership certificates to promoters in both municipalities as well as the testimony of the Local Integration Centre of Praia da Vitória on the evolution and the goals achieved by participants throughout the theoretical component of the programme.

The ceremonies will be held on June 27 at the headquarters of the Angra do Heroísmo Fire Department at 11 AM and in Praia da Vitória at the Youth Academy at 2:30 PM.
