The Vice-President of the Government, through the Regional Centre for Handicrafts (CRAA), promotes another edition of the Urban Craft Market (MUA) at "Portas da Cidade" in Ponta Delgada between December 7 and 10.
 
The initiative, developed in partnership with the local authority, includes nine exhibition and commercial spaces featuring the works from craft production units and artisans. They will showcase figurative ceramic sculptures, nativity scenes in "lapinha" (sea-themed nativity scene), rag dolls, jewellery and food products such as chocolates and cheeses.
 
MUA also features the participation of an artisan from the Felt Workshop, who will bring to Ponta Delgada felt garments and clothing accessories.
 
Under this initiative, there will be two workshops at the Kiosk. The first is scheduled for December 8 between 3 and 5 PM and will address felting techniques; participants will learn how to perform flowers in merino wool. The second will focus on jewellery making on December 10 between 2 and 4 PM; participants learn how to work with materials such as basalt stone and natural beads.

MUA will be open on December 7, 9 and 10 from 10 AM to 6 PM. On December 8, the traditional "Dia das Montras" (shop windows show day), it will be open from 3 to 11 PM.
