With the aim of increasing the visibility of Azorean craft activities, the Regional Centre for Handicrafts (CRAA) has created the project “Azores in a box – Artesanato/Artcraft,” featuring pieces made by regional artisans.

The initiative consists of "kits" containing promotional products from different Azorean crafts in diverse areas, such as religion, ceramics, dolls, weaving, confectionery, among others.

With this initiative, the CRAA also intends to pursue the goal of reaching new and different markets in order to renew, promote and improve the image of regional handicrafts as a certified and genuine product.

The Regional Centre for Handicrafts is responsible for the production and dissemination of craft activities and products, supporting their marketing as well as the organisation of fairs, workshops and competitions.

The CRAA has also promoted traditional Azorean products through technical and commercial publications with the aim of assuring and promoting the quality of products and the introduction of modern concepts applied to craft production.
