The Regional Secretary for Science, Technology and Infrastructures received, today, a delegation of contact people of the Cahora Bassa Dam, in Mozambique, in a meeting meant for the presentation of the system of management of correspondence (SGC) used by the Government of the Azores and that will be able to serve as model for use in this infrastructure.
After the meeting that happened in Ponta Delgada, José Contente underlined the advancements of the Region in this domain, guaranteeing that the Government proposes, in the new legislature, to modernize still more the administrative processes and to strengthen and diversify the offer of on-line services to the citizens, through the introduction of practices based on the potentialities offered by the new information and communication technologies.
In the meeting, the contact people of the dam were accompanied by the LINK, enterprise hired to introduce in the infrastructure a communications system that takes into account other experiences on the subject of treatment of information, fundamental on the thrift of the on-line advantages and on the economy on general terms.
According to the secretary for Science, Technology and Infrastructures, the Government of the Azores, for its dimension and type of use of the SGC (System of Management of Correspondence), constitute an excellent study case and will be able to serve as model so that the project that the LINK enterprise aims at developing in the Cahora Bassa Dam.
