The Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures (SRCTE) aims to project the Autonomous Region of the Azores in the context of the EU Research Area, through meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences and other scientific events of international importance.

This commitment of the Government in the scientific research area also reflects the desire to boost conference tourism or other scientific events in the Azores.

In this context, the SRCTE through the Regional Directorate for Science, Technology and Communications has open the submission of applications for the support to the organisation of meetings, seminars, conferences and other scientific events to be held in the Azores.

The measure 322, available at http://www.azores.gov.pt/gra/sctr, is also intended to promote the dissemination of the scientific research results, promoting the contact between expertises from different scientific institutions and regions and contributing to the exchange of knowledge.

The deadline for the submission of applications is on January 15, 2010.
