There are six doctoral scholarships to be awarded by the Regional Secretary for Science, Technology and Infrastructures (SRCTE) in several areas of scientific interest to the Region, such as Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology, Marine Sciences, Biodiversity, Volcanology/Seismology and Meteorology/Climatology.
The awarding of the scholarships requires the submission of doctoral projects focusing on the development of the regional business sector as the research activities will be carried out at one of the R&D Units of the Regional Scientific System.
Moreover, the projects financed under the application will result in contracts signed for a period of one year, renewable up to a maximum of four years under the Programme 3 – “Advanced Training (FORMAC)” of the Regional Directorate for Science, Technology and Communications.
The period for submitting applications takes places until November 30, 2009. These doctoral scholarships are addressed at those who hold a Master’s degree or a degree with a final average not less than sixteen.
