The Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures (SRCTE) has launched a call for tenders to support the organisation of meetings under the scientific and technological dissemination focused on the theme “Celebrating the International Year of Biodiversity.”
This initiatives aims to subsidise the organisation of meetings in the context of the scientific and technological dissemination in the Azores, mainly conferences, seminars and lectures, which are addressed at that the public in general and open to the community participation.
Promoting the Knowledge Society; contributing to the dissemination of scientific and technological culture; and stimulating the reflection and discussion on Science and Technology among youngsters are the main goals of this governmental initiative.
The SRCTE will award the total amount of one hundred thousand Euros and the funding allocated to each approved project might correspond to one hundred percent of their total amount, up to a maximum of seven thousand and five hundred Euros.
The Regulation, Announcement and application forms for this measure are available through the site http://www.azores.gov.pt/gra/sctr. All those who are interested may apply until March 5.
There are various entities that may benefit from this measure created by the SRCTE, such as high education institutions and R&D or RD&I Units; school establishments that integrate the school network of the Autonomous Region of the Azores or their school funds; hospitals and laboratories; foundations; non-profit R&D or RD&I associations; and regional public or private non-profit entities.
In addition, the non-profit entities or organisations outside the Autonomous Region of the Azores that organise events under the scientific and technological dissemination are also eligible applicants for this measure.
