The regional secretary for Science, Technology and Infrastructures enhanced, today, the importance of following a way of investigation devoted to the enterprises, so that the Azorean business system reaches a superior development baseline.

José Contente was speaking, in Ponta Delgada, in the opening of a seminar organized by the AICOPA businessmen's association of civil construction and Chamber of Trade and Industry of Ponta Delgada on the new regime of public employment.

“The Azores live in a phase of stability on the issue of civil construction”, he said, referring that the investment plan of the X Regional Government for 2009 and the next Strategic Reference Framework (QRESA) will consider the rigidity and the climate of trust that the sector must maintain.

According to José Contente, to the sector of civil construction there are put, in this moment, other challenges, like the science and technology, that, in the new Government, will be understood like a factor intended to the enterprises and to the industry, in the sense of improving, for the applied investigation, the profitability, productivity, the creation of qualified job and the business profit.

The regional secretary for Science, Technology and Infrastructures still highlighted that it is with this spirit that it will stop the new challenge without unrealism, but also without preposterous alarmism that are pernicious to the market, to the enterprises and to the trust in general.
