The Science Centres of the Azores will travel all over the archipelago onboard “Express Santorini” until the end of April.
The itinerant exhibition, a joint initiative of the Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures and Atlanticoline, will display the scientific work that has been developed in each of the six Science Centres in the Azores.
In addition to the thematic panels, the itinerant Science Centres will include the exhibition of a film about each Observatory –OASA, Santana Astronomical Observatory; Expolab; OVGA, Volcanological and Geothermal Observatory of the Azores; OMA, Sea Observatory; OAA, Environment Observatory and OMIC, Microbial Observatory of Furnas.
Moreover, the exhibition also includes interactive modules that usually attract the curiosity of children and adults as they are associated science to fun. Thus, this educational and recreational initiative aims to stimulate the love for scientific research through educational games.
In addition, part of the exhibition that was open to the public at Expolab may be visited in one of the social areas of “Express Santorini.”
Starting on Friday, the Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology or Infrastructures invites the Azoreans to embark on the adventure of live and fun science on the different Azorean islands onboard “Express Santorini.”
