Government bets on the business qualification of excellence in the telecommunications area on the Azores
Nearly eighty participants were today, in Angra do Heroísmo, in the Days of ITED on “The Evolution and the Current State of the ITED - Telecommunication installations in Buildings”. The regional secretary for Housing and Infrastructures presided at the opening session of the event of information promoted by the Regional Government, in partnership with the Telecommunications Business Association (ACIST) and the Chamber of Trade of Angra do Heroísmo (CCAH). According to José Contente, the executive is creating conditions for the development of a “qualifying phase of the regional enterprises so that the Azores, as crossing platform of knowledge and experiences, reaches baselines of excellence in the current competitive world of telecommunications”. For the ruler, the present event is justified before the new obligations and demands of the “globalized economy, in which the holders of bigger information and knowledge acquire competitive advantages and professional insertion, needing, for the effect, of accreditation of the ACIST”. Therein, the secretary recalled the important role fulfilled by the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory, in which the “more modern training room of the Country”, certified by the National Association of Communications (ANACOM), is located. Up to the date, 150 technicians were trained in the Azores through the execution of eight courses, four of which on installations and conservation of buildings and four on execution of projects. José Contente enhanced the pro-active attitude of the Chamber of Trade of Angra do Heroísmo in the sensitization of human resources in the telecommunications area, manifesting himself to be available to establish new partnerships with the ACIST with aim at the qualification of people, means and resources.
