Azores have the most modern training room of the Country certified by ANACOM
The Azores have at present the most modern training room of the Country certified by the National Association of Communications (ANACOM). The regional secretary for Housing and Equipments exposed this information, today in Horta, in the opening session of the Days of ITED on “The evolution and the Current State of the ITED - Telecommunication installations in Buildings”. According to José Contente, the quality of the equipments in this area available by the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory is a proof of the bet of the Government in the excellence of the local training of the Azorean technicians. More than six ten of technicians of the island of Faial participated in today’s meeting, promoted by the Regional Government in partnership with the Telecommunications Business Association (ACIST) and the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Horta. The event aims at endowing the technicians who make projects in the context of telecommunications, or that install and preserve them, with all the conditions in terms of certification so these projects can be approved. For the governor, initiatives of this kind are justified before the new obligations and demands of the “globalized economy, in which the holders of bigger information and knowledge acquire competitive advantages and professional insertion, needing, for the effect, of accreditation of the ACIST”. As he told in the opportunity, eight courses already carried through in the Azores allowed to train nearly 150 technicians in areas such as installations and conservation of buildings and execution of projects. He also said that, already this week, similar event was carried through in the Terceira Island, being an objective of the Government that the technicians of this area, of all the islands, have opportunity for taking a degree in the Azores, avoiding travels to the Mainland.
