Vaccine of prevention of uterine cancer included in the new Regional Vaccination Plan
The new Regional Vaccination Plan (PRV) approved by the Government of the Azores predicts the application, from September, of the vaccine against the infections by the human papilomavirus (HPV) - associated to the appearance of the uterine cancer - in girls who reach 13 years old in the year in which it will be administered.
In the terms of a decree of the regional secretary for Social Affairs, the vaccine at issue will be applied, also from September, to the young girls born in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
The last version of the PRV was approved in April of 2005, submitting its alteration for the approval of a new model of the Individual Report of Vaccines. Until the new model starts working it must be used the one currently in use.
