The Regional Secretary for Social Solidarity stated in Angra do Heroísmo that the Government of the Azores has already supported and continues to support more than a thousand families in the recovery of degraded housing since the beginning of the current legislative period, which represents a public investment of 9.5 million Euros.

Andreia Cardoso spoke during the ceremony for the allocation of support to 31 families from Terceira for the recovery of degraded housing, construction of housing and recovery of termite-infested housing.

"With regard to the island of Terceira, a total of 125 applications have already been approved for these support measures, amounting to 1.3 million Euros, to which we now add up the 31 recently approved applications and the amount of subsidies to be granted," said the Regional Secretary.

The aid authorised today represents a public investment exceeding 330 thousand Euros and will benefit the housing conditions of 81 living in the municipalities of Angra do Heroísmo and Praia da Vitória.
