The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Housing, has invited companies to take part in the contract works for the construction/rehabilitation of houses on the islands of S. Miguel, Terceira and Santa Maria, representing an investment over 766 thousand Euros.

Included in the Regional Public Works Chart, these contract works will cover four dwellings in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, two in the municipality of Ribeira Grande (S. Miguel); one dwelling in the municipality of Vila do Porto (Santa Maria); two dwellings in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo (Terceira).

The Government also awarded a contract work in the amount 75 thousand Euros for the renewal of a degraded house in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, Terceira Island, following a direct adjustment with regional companies.

This initiative falls under the Regional Government's goal to provide Azorean families with better housing conditions and contribute to the redevelopment and preservation of the Region's housing stock.
