The Government of the Azores published in the Official Journal today the cooperation rules with private social solidarity institutions, NGO’s, associations, professional organisations and foundations in terms of Equal Opportunities.
The cooperation under the present regulation intends to assure the necessary investment, the activities and the logistic support to the promotion of studies, programmes and awareness campaigns, as well as to the organisation of training courses, meetings and conferences.
Research, publication of scientific, dissemination or collective interest works, celebration of events, technical, psychosocial and creation consultancy support, improvement or expansion of the capacity of infrastructures and social responses are other areas that may apply for the cooperation in terms of Equal Opportunities.
The publication of this regulation, approved by an Ordinance of the Regional Secretariat for Labour and Social Solidarity, is justified by the necessity of “regulating the form how the necessary support should be awarded to the implementation” of policies in this sector.
Furthermore, the diploma underlines that the development and the implementation of public policies under the Equal Opportunities for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or belief, age and sexual orientation, require cooperation and collaboration strategies with the multiple institutions that develop activities in these areas.
