More than 76 thousand Euros is the amount allocated by the Regional Secretariat of Labour and Social Solidarity to various social support institutions in the Azores.

The support granted by Ordinance, comprise the Santa Casa de Misericordia da Praia da Vitória (Holy House of Mercy) on Terceira Island, the São Pedro Social and Parish Centre and the Child Support Institute, both on São Miguel and the Santa Casa da Misericordia da Horta on Faial.

The amount of 6,568.43 Euros was allocated to the Santa Casa de Misericordia da Praia da Vitória on Terceira Island to support the purchase of furniture.

The São Pedro Social and Parish Centre and the Child Support Institute on São Miguel Island were other institutions comprised by this measure, being awarded the amount of 8,050.35 Euros and 27,170.00, respectively.

The awarded funds intend to subsidise the remodelling and expansion works of the day care centre and of the kindergarten, as well as the construction of the new headquarters of the Child Support Institute.

The Government of the Azores also allocated 35 thousand Euros to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Horta on Faial Island to support the acquisition of vehicle adapted for wheelchairs.
