The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Housing, has awarded three contracts following direct adjustment procedures, inviting regional companies for the construction of two homes and the rehabilitation of another home on S. Miguel; the latter is owned by the Region.
 
These works include the construction of a dwelling in the village of Água de Pau, municipality of Lagoa, and another one in the village of São Roque, municipality of Ponta Delgada, as well as the rehabilitation of a dwelling in the village of Ribeira Quente, municipality of Povoação.
 
The contract works represent a public investment of near 402 thousand Euros.
 
The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity has also invited regional companies for the contract work for the construction of homes in the municipalities of Ponta Delgada, Santa Cruz da Graciosa, Santa Cruz das Flores and Velas, representing a global investment over 470 thousand Euros.
 
These initiatives fall within the Regional Government's goal to provide families with better housing conditions in terms of safety and health, while ensuring the renewal and preservation of the regional housing stock.
