The opening notice and rules of the public application for the allocation of 17 apartments on a sublease scheme with purchase option for permanent housing in the village of Ribeira Grande on São Miguel were published today in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

Of the 17 apartments to be allocated under this application, nine are 2-bedroom apartments and eight are 3-bedroom apartments; they are located at Rua da Saúde, Edifício da Rotunda da Ribeira Seca, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande.

The application period runs from January 13 to 24. Applications may be submitted at the Regional Directorate for Housing, the housing services of each island or at the offices of RIAC (Integrated Citizen Network Support). Moreover, it may also be submitted by mail or via email to the electronic address provided in the application rules.

This application awards priority status to young couples, single-parent families and families with disabled members. Families will have the possibility of purchasing the apartment at any time, provided that within one year after the date of the signing of the sublease contract.
