System for the Allocation of Support Products for people with disabilities to enter into force on August 13
The Regional Implementing Decree no.13/2015/A that establishes the System for the Allocation of Support Products in the Autonomous Region of the Azores (SAPA-RAA) for people with disabilities or temporary disability was published today in the Official Gazette.
The legal document aims to provide people with disabilities, either permanent or temporary, with the possibility to improve their quality of life as well as their social, educational and professional integration.
This system covers support products prescribed by doctors at Regional Health Centres, Regional Hospitals or at centres of reference with multidisciplinary technical teams.
SAPA-RAA will enter into force next Thursday, August 13. It aims to pursue a comprehensive and integrated policy to provide a response to people with disabilities, thus mitigating the limitations and constraints in their daily activities resulting from permanent or temporary disabilities.
