Non-Medical Support Line received more than 10 thousand calls in first month of operation

The Non-Medical Support Line, created to clarify the Azoreans on questions related to the measures implemented to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, registered a total of 10,000 calls in the first month of operation.

Since March 14, the toll-free number 800 29 29 29 has provided about 350 clarifications per day, in addition to replying to about 1,500 questions sent the email address created for this purpose.

The Non-Medical Support Line is operated by more than two dozen technicians from various departments of the Regional Government every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, between 8 am and 8 pm.

Besides practical issues related to the implementation of several measures, this service has also included the provision of psychosocial support to Azorean citizens since March 25.

The COVID-19 Non-Medical Information is aimed at answering non-medical questions.

For medical questions, users should call the Azores Health Line 808 24 60 24, which operates 24/7.

The Government has also made available the Support Line for Displaced Students 800 24 25 26, the RIAC Support Line 800 500 501 for matters pertaining to business support and miscellaneous information, the Azores Social Security Line 300 077 100 or 300 077 000, and the Regional Labour Inspectorate Line 295 204 140 for labour issues.
