Investments in health infrastructures ensure "patient care in adequate and quiet environment"

The Regional Secretary for Health stressed the care provided to patients assisted at the emergency and outpatient services of regional hospitals," noting the "quiet and suitable" environment of Horta Hospital, being the result of the investments made in health infrastructures.

Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the Emergency and Outpatient Consultation services of that hospital, Luís Cabral stressed that "patient care in the Azores is provided in a quiet environment," when compared with patient care services nationwide.

"Here in the Region, we were able to create the conditions in order to ensure that patients are assisted with dignity, through the infrastructures we have been building," said the government official.

Assuming that there are always some "aspects to be improved," the Regional Secretary stressed the investment made by Horta Hospital in outpatient consultation services and pointed out that "the new facilities and functional changes took into consideration the needs of patients."

On the World Voice Day, Luís Cabral also noted the fact that Horta Hospital is marking this day with an initiative intended to raise the awareness of the population for the importance of "taking care of the voice."
