Clic Açores Contest - Winning photos 

Lucas Biernacki, from Ireland, is the author of the winning photo of Clic Azores, the photo contest promoted by the Government of the Azores together with the azorean Amateur Photographers Association.

Dreamwalk, shot in Pico mountain, won Biernacki a complimentary stay in the Azores.

Clic Azores was aimed at all european tourists who visited the region during 2010. The initiative took place under the Azores - European Region of the Year programme.

Six honorable mentions were also awarded to the works of the italian citizens Walesa Porcellato ( “Waiting Santo Cristo”, São Miguel ) and Marcos Suárez Gutiérrez ( “Rosso”, Pico ), to the portuguese citizens Luís Felgueiras ( “Portas de Ponta Delgada - Aberto 365 dias ao ano” ) and Abílio Dias ( “Olhar de Baixo”, Faial ), to the french citizen Manfred Grözinger ( “Whaler”, Pico ) and to the polish citizen Herman Maciej ( untitled, São Miguel ).

A book celebrating 40 juri-selected photos will be published during 2011 and an exposition will be organized with Clic Azores best photos.

Clic Azores received more than 1240 entrances from 240 tourists, from Russia to mainland Portugal, Norwege and Denmark to Italy, with participants also from Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Swiss, Germany and Spain.
