The Regional Secretariat for the Sea, Science and Technology, through the Regional Directorate for Fisheries, published in the Official Gazette the opening notice of the tender for the improvement works of Topo Port on the island of São Jorge.

With a base price over 3.1 million Euros, this intervention will substantially improve the safety and operating conditions of this port infrastructure, through the construction of a 60 metre long jetty, the expansion of the embankment area to a total of 1,200 square metres and the construction of a 7.5 metre long beaching ramp.

After this general intervention, the port will have a 73 metre long wharf and will ensure the best working conditions to fishing professionals and entrepreneurs linked to maritime activities.

The improvement works of Topo Port fulfils a commitment taken by the Regional Government.
