The teaching position list in the category of “Oferta de Emprego,” to meet the temporary staff needs of the schools integrated in the regional school system, was published on August 27, 2010. The deadline for submission of applications took place from January 29 to February 11 and from July 5 to 14.
The 825 vacant teaching positions are the result of several temporary needs, such as the replacement of teachers performing other official duties or trade union duties, teachers engaged in school recovery programmes or of teachers who have retired after the opening of the last staff admission.
A total of 3025 individuals holding pedagogical and professional qualifications suitable for the practice of teaching have applied for the available positions. Of the 825vacant positions, 806 were filled. The deadline for accepting the position takes place from August 30 to September 1, 2010. Applicants are notified via email or SMS.
