The regional secretary for Education and Science, Álamo Meneses, was among the tens of participants of the second edition of 2008 of the "Epicentre", carried out today in Pinhal da Paz, in Ponta Delgada.

This year with two editions, the first one on the 15th of June in Praia da Vitória, the "Epicentre" intends to promote the physical activity and the well-being, contributing to the divulgation of the benefits of exercise for health.

As “Festival of Activity” it also aims at the widening of the extent of the cultural and tourist demonstrations of the archipelago.

The specialized enterprises responsible for its organization expect the involvement in the "Epicentre" of nearly four thousand active participants.
