A team made up of professors from the University of the Azores and teachers from six Azorean basic education schools is developing a project titled as “Research for a Relevant Curriculum.”
This initiative integrates the international project “Enhancing Curriculum Relevance,” which is based on a partnership between the Regional Secretariat for Education and Training, which assures the administrative and financial coordination, the Bucharest City Hall, the University of Bucharest and several schools from the same city.
The Romanian teachers the integrate the project will be on Terceira Island on Friday and Saturday to participate at the “Luso-Romanian Colloquium on Curricular Questions” to take place at the Praia da Vitória Basic Education School on Friday at 9:30 AM.
This initiative, to be presided over by the Regional Secretary for Education and Training, will feature various debates, lectures and even book reviews.
Hence, this project intends to disseminate the work developed by the educational community, provide a space for reflection and discussion on topics related to the curriculum, and promote the regional curriculum through a debate among teachers.
