The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, has authorised the launch of a public tender for interventions in Jerónimo Emiliano de Andrade Secondary School in Angra do Heroísmo and Vitorino Nemésio Secondary School in Praia da Vitória.
 
The contract work, launched under a commitment made in the Regional Annual Plan for 2018, continues an ongoing investment in improving regional schools with the aim of providing Azorean students with the best conditions.
 
The interventions be carried out intend to improve the existing infrastructures, including the removal of asbestos roofing tiles, the renewal of sports areas, floors, ceilings and roofs, and the installation of an automatic gas detection system. They will contribute to a better environment in both school establishments and correspond to an overall investment of € 493,450.00 (four hundred and ninety-three thousand, four hundred and fifty Euros).
