A group of five students from the Domingos Rebelo School received today a cash prize for excelling in school in the last school year, a recognition that aims to stimulate the remaining school community.
The ceremony, which was held at the sports hall of the school, was attended by the Regional Director for Education and Training on behalf of the Regional Secretary for Education and Training.
Pedro Ferreira won the category of best high school student in the school year 2008/2009 in Socio-Economic Sciences while Ana Medeiros was distinguished in the category of best student in Science and Technologies. Each student received 500 Euro a check awarded by the companies Bensaúde and Finançor Agro Alimentar.
Ana Condessa won the category of best Basic Education student, receiving a 250 Euro check awarded by Pro-Confiar.
Furthermore, Rui Larsen was awarded with the Civic Merit prize and Ana Raposo with the Example of Life prize. Each student received a 250 Euro check awarded by the municipal company Anima Cultura.
