The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Culture launched today the public discussion a series of legal documents on the area of culture at the following electronic address: http://www.azores.gov.pt/Portal/pt/entidades/srecc/textoImagem/consulta_publica.htm

This discussion, which will culminate in the assessment of the Regional Government's proposals by the Legislative Assembly of the Azores, is intended to collect contributions for the improvement of the government's proposals, thus fulfilling the purpose defended by Luiz Fagundes Duarte on several occasions.

The proposals under debate will focus on the support scheme for agents promoting cultural activities of relevant interest to the Region and the general rules on these support measures.

In addition, the legal document establishing the legal scheme of the Regional Council of Culture will also be under public discussion. This entity is the consultative body of the Regional Government on matters pertaining to cultural policies in the Region.
