The Government of the Azores will simultaneously promote on S. Miguel and Terceira Islands a workshop which is integrated in the programme for addiction prevention in schools “Tu Decides” (You Decide).
This initiative is estimated to comprise about three thousand students from the 9th form and 150 middle and junior high school teachers of the Archipelago.
The “Tu Decides” is a programme that was created by the Regional Directorate for the Prevention and Fight of Addiction, which is developed in collaboration with the Regional Directorate for Education.
The workshops will take place at the auditoriums of the Angra and Ponta Delgada Nursing Schools from 9:30 AM, and they aim to provide skills for teachers, so that they may intervene with students and parents in order to help them to take responsible decisions in the case of troubled situations or drug use.
