The Regional Directorate for Education and Training signed a collaboration protocol with the Goethe Instituit Portugal and the Portuguese Association of German Teachers in order to promote the teaching of German in three schools in the Azores.

The protocol, which is also supported by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, will comprise the Antero de Quental and the Laranjeiras Secondary Schools in Ponta Delgada as well as the Vitorino Nemésio Secondary School in the Praia da Vitória.

The German Schools Projects aims to promote the interest in teaching/learning the German language, promote and disseminate innovative and educational activities, and create a network of schools with good practices that might carry out a cooperative work, becoming an example to be followed.
