Public tender for the completion works of the new Angra do Heroísmo Public Library open

The opening of bids for the contract work to complete the new Angra do Heroísmo Public Library and Regional Archive took place today on the island of Terceira. A total of five construction companies have submitted their bids.

According to the Regional Directorate for Culture, the works are expected to be resumed at the end of the first quarter of next year and have a maximum completion period of 180 days.

The public call for tenders for this contract work was authorised by an order issued by the President of the Regional Government on October 24, 2012. The works have a base price 4.6 million Euros, plus VAT at the legal rate in force.

The opening session was attended by the representatives of several construction companies: Construções Meneses e Macfadden, Construções Europa Arlindo, AFA Açores, Conduril and Edifer Construções.
