The Regional Secretariat for Energy, Environment and Tourism, through the Regional Directorate for Energy, will hold two information sessions on the Document for Public Discussion under the 2030 Azorean Energy Strategy (EAE 2030) to take place on October 29 and 31. The initiative is aimed at technical staff, managers and entrepreneurs, regional public administration, municipalities and the public in general.
 
On October 29, the session will take place at Angra do Heroísmo City Hall, Terceira Island, at 4 PM.
 
On São Miguel, the session will be part of the "Meeting with Citizens," an event organised by the Secretariat of State for European Affairs in partnership with the European Commission Representation in Portugal and the Regional Government of the Azores. It will be held at the University of the Azores on October 31 at 3 PM.
 
The base document for the preparation of EAE 2030, under public consultation until December 3, supports the structuring debate that the Regional Government wants to promote on this matter towards the definition of the terms in which the Strategy will develop, ensuring the access to energy and defining public policies.
 
The provision of the Document under public consultation and the holding of information sessions give shape to the innovative approach on which the EAE 2030 is based, through a perspective that puts energy in permanent dialogue with other sectors, awarding priority status to the needs of Azorean companies and families.
