The Regional Secretary for Energy, Environment and Tourism, through the Regional Directorate for Energy in partnership with the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory, holds the 7th Meeting with Energy Efficiency, this time dedicated to Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS).
 
This Meeting aims to provide these institutions with tools and knowledge that stimulate the rational use of energy, with strong contributions in terms of energy, economic and environmental savings.
 
The seventh edition of this event will feature a panel of speakers who will present concepts related to energy efficiency for the IPSS, as well as the various programs and supports available to these institutions.
 
In this context, the panel will begin with Ana Rita Antunes (Coopérnico), who will address "A new renewable and decentralised energy paradigm," followed by the theme "Energy Efficiency and energy savings in IPSS" to be presented by the Directorate-General of Energy and Geology.
 
Nuno Ferreira (RNAE - Association of Energy and Environment Agencies) will address the "Integrated Energy Efficiency Programme for IPSS" under way in the Azores. In turn, Andreia Carreiro, Regional Director for Energy, will present the Energy Efficiency Programme for IPSS in the Azores, an initiative created by the Regional Secretariat for Energy, Environment and Tourism in partnership with the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, as well as the support and financing programmes available to IPSS.
 
The Meeting ends with a working session dedicated to IPSS, where these institutions will have the opportunity to discuss the specific matters they wish to clarify at this panel.
 
The Meetings with Energy Efficiency are aimed at raising awareness, debate and dissemination of best practices in this area towards the promotion of the decarbonised development of the Azores. This initiative has already focused on the Industry, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Public Buildings, Incentive Systems, Energy Communities and Electric Mobility.
