The Energy Expo 2009 held under theme “Deciding the Future of Energy in Portugal: Commitments and Promotion for Leadership in Renewable Energies” (Decidir o Futuro da Energia em Portugal: Compromissos e Apostas para a Liderança nas Renováveis) will take place on at the centre of the Taguspark in Oeiras from November 17 to November 19.

This is the reference and structuring event for the energy sector in Portugal, where themes such as the future of the energy sector will be analyzed and discussed during three days as well as the best policies to be followed regarding   investment, research and development in the energy sector; the challenges of renewable energy; new technologies and smart networks; accountability and energy efficiency in cities and sustainable construction, among many others.

The Regional Director for Energy and the Managing Director of ARENA will present a work titled as “The Restructuration of the Energy Sector in the Autonomous Region of the Azores: the Project” (A Reestruturação do Sector Energético na Região Autónoma dos Açores: o projecto Green Islands) on the first day of the conference at a session under the theme - the Direction of the Energy Sector in Portugal (Rumo do Sector Energético em Portugal).
