The Regional Secretary for the Economy assured in Horta today that the inter-island passenger maritime transport operation this year “will be the best operation of ever” in the Archipelago.
Vasco Cordeiro spoke at the Azorean Parliament and underlined that despite all “setbacks and technical problems,” the operation led by Atlanticoline will overcome the 100,000 passenger barrier this year.
The Secretary also challenged PSD to stop being hypocrite when, blaming the Government for everything, conveys that resuming inter-island passenger maritime transport is a good idea, but the result is bad.
PSD should stop being hypocrite, because it was this party, when was in power, which “ended the passenger maritime transport” in the Azores, stated Vasco Cordeiro.
The Regional Secretary for the Economy also said that no one should expect that Government is “discouraged and depressed” towards the problems in that area. On the contrary, “the Government is here to work and solve the difficulties that arise in this path.”
