The rise of oil prices in the international markets, which has registered an increase over the last weeks, led the Azorean Government to raise in 2 cents the maximum public sales price of all fuels.   

Despite the rise that was now imposed, the maximum public sales prices are still lower than those of Mainland Portugal, with differences ranging between 36.7 percent and 16.4 percent.

Therefore, the 95 and 98 octane petrol will be now sold at a maximum price of 1.10 and 1.16 Euros per litre (€1.33 and €1.40 in Mainland Portugal), road diesel will be sold at 91 cents per litre (€1.05 in Mainland Portugal) and fuel at 37 cents per kilo (45 cents in Portugal Mainland).

The agricultural diesel will now have a maximum public sales price of 51 cents per litre, and fishing diesel will be sold at 30 cents per litre. The gas for domestic consumption will have its maximum price set at 1.03 per kilo. The prices for these fuels in Mainland Portugal are of 69 cents for agricultural diesel, 53 cents for fishing diesel and €1.36 per kilo for domestic gas.

The new amounts, which stipulate the maximum public sales prices, will come in force on Friday at 12 AM.
