Oil price in international markets leads to adjustment in fuel prices in the Azores
The rise of oil prices in the international markets which has registered an increase over the past weeks will lead to an update of the maximum public sales price of diesel and petrol in the Azores.
The registered increase of one cent per litre for fishing and agricultural diesel and of two cents per litre for road diesel and petrol maintains a significant difference between the maximum public sales price stipulated in the Azores and the remaining national territory, where fuel prices have risen four times over the last two weeks.
Hence, the 95 and 98 octane petrol will be now sold in the Azores at a maximum price of 1.17 and 1.23 Euros per litre (€ 1.32 and €1.39 in Mainland Portugal, more than 13.6 percent and 13.3 percent) and road diesel at 98 cents per litre (€1.09 in Mainland Portugal, which corresponds to a difference of 13.6 percent).
The agricultural diesel will now have a maximum public sales price of 58 cents per litre and fishing diesel will be sold at 44 cents per litre. The prices for these fuels in Mainland Portugal are of 71 cents per litre for agricultural diesel (more than 23.6 percent) and 54 cents per litre for fishing diesel (more than 27 percent).
The gas for domestic consumption will maintain its maximum price set at €1.04 per kilo.
The new prices will enter in force on Friday at 12 AM.
