Luísa Schanderl takes office as Regional Secretary for the Economy

The Regional Secretary for the Economy, Luísa Schanderl, said today to be prepared to take up duties "with the same force that I have always demonstrated throughout my career."

Speaking to journalists at the Legislative Assembly of the Azores, after taking office as Regional Secretary for the Economy, Luísa Schanderl stated that she is entering into office "with the same spirit of challenge" as she is also determined "to carry on the programme" developed by the Regional Government. The new Regional Secretary also assured that she will maintain "the priorities defined, continue the ongoing projects and defend them in favour of the Azorean people."

The Regional Secretary for the Economy also said "there are no difficult projects" as any "of each deserves respect and shall be treated with respect." "I start my duties encompassing all challenges with the same force that I have always demonstration while carrying out other duties," added the government official.

Luísa Schanderl is 55 years old and holds a degree in Biology and Sociology. She is a teacher at Antero de Quental Secondary School.
