Government approves financial incentives for 10.5 million Euros of private investment on Pico
The Government of the Azores has approved since the beginning of the year, 15 investment projects which are being implemented or will be implemented on Pico Island, under the System of Incentives for the Regional Development of the Azores (SIDER).
The figures were presented today, after a meeting between the Regional Secretary for the Economy and the Board of the Commercial and Industrial Association of Pico Island, which took place in the town of Madalena on the first day of the statutory visit of the Azorean Government to the Island of Pico.
The meeting between Vasco Cordeiro and leaders of the Commercial and Industrial Association of Pico Island aimed to analyse various relevant areas and issues for the Island’s economy.
The incentives which have been approved since the beginning of the year represent a global investment of 10.5 million Euros, thus allowing the creation of 28 new jobs.
