The Regional Director for Communities considered the visit paid by the Consul of Angola to the Azores in order to become better acquainted with the work developed by entities among immigrant communities as very positive.
Rita Dias spoke by the occasion of audience that she granted to the Consul of Angola that was followed by a visit to the Immigrant’s Association in the Azores in Ponta Delgada.
On the occasion, the Regional Directorate for Communities announced that a team of technicians from the Angolan consulate will perform various consular acts to all those who are interested at the headquarters of the Regional Directorate for Communities next Saturday.
This is an initiative that will shorten distances and strengthen ties between the Azores and Angola, providing those who cannot travel to Lisbon to solve problems regarding their stay in the country with an opportunity to solve their problems here.
During a visit to AIPA, the Consul of Angola had the opportunity to become better acquainted with the activity developed by this association as well as with the work carried out by the Regional Director for Communities in various aspects, particularly the reception of immigrants and their integration in the local society, considered Rita Dias.
