Government of the Azores supports the execution of a contest of Portuguese Language in the USA and Canada
The Regional Directorate for Communities signed a protocol of cooperation with the Association of Teachers of Portuguese of the United States and Canada and with the Group SATA, meant for the promotion of several initiatives that might constitute an incentive to the teaching and apprenticeship of the Portuguese Language in the heart of the Azorean resident communities in the United States and Canada.
As part of the protocol, the teachers' association is going to promote Portuguese Language contests that, besides the unmistakable contribute that they will be able to bring to the spread and dinamization of the teaching of the Language of Camões, will reward the performance of the pupils who frequent the same discipline in the American and Canadian institutions of teaching.
For its turn, the Group SATA will award a prize to the respective winners with travels to the Azores.
The stay and attendance of the winning pupils will be in charge of the Regional Directorate for Communities.
