Berto Messias announces internationalisation of "Entrepreneurial Education" project as example of good practices

The Regional Assistant Secretary of the Presidency for Parliamentary Affairs announced today the internationalisation of the "Entrepreneurial Education - the Path to Success" project. It will be included into a platform that brings together several European organisations from various countries, such as Spain, Bulgaria and Romania.

At the public presentation session, which took place at Tomás de Borba Basic Education and Secondary School in Angra do Heroísmo, Berto Messias highlighted "the path followed by this project as a good example of how to foster entrepreneurship, proactivity and willingness of Azorean youth. "

"The project annually involves several schools and about three thousand young students from the Azores. It aims to promote the emergence of young entrepreneurs, proactivity towards life and the development of our community," explained the Secretary Regional.

For Berto Messias, "the success we have achieved with the implementation of this project is due, above all, to the students and teachers who embrace this initiative, regarding it as an opportunity to learn more and acquire skills for their future lives."

"There are several business projects that started in a classroom like this one and today they are companies working and generating employment," explained the Regional Secretary.

According to him, "this measure, in partnership with the National ERASMUS + Youth in Action Agency, will contribute to the establishment of a competent and credible European consortium focusing on youth entrepreneurship, digital employability and social inclusion. The implementation of the project by the Regional Government will be included as an excellent example of good practices."

"Taking into account the development of this European platform, we will promote new opportunities for young people, the knowledge of other realities as well as of other projects focused on business, environmental, cultural or social areas," concluded Berto Messias.
