The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth and the Regional Directorate for Education and Training, in a partnership with the Entrepreneurship Centre of the University of the Azores promotes a session to present the programme “Entrepreneurial Education: The Path to Success” (www.edu.empreendedora.azores.gov.pt/) on September 8 at 10:30 AM at the Anfiteatro C of the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada where the protocol between the Regional Directorate for Youth and the Entrepreneurship Centre of the University of the Azores will be signed for the implementation of the programme.
This Entrepreneurship Programme for Azorean Schools is addressed at teachers and students from middle and junior high schools, secondary and vocational training schools. It was developed with the purpose of demystifying the concept of entrepreneurship and of making students acquainted with business concepts as well as with examples of successful entrepreneurs.
According to the partnership established with the Entrepreneurship Centre, the first phase of the programme started on September 6 with the organisation of two training courses that comprised fifty-two teachers from seven vocational training schools, five secondary schools and thirteen basic education schools.
The coordination of the initial training, as well as the supervision of the syllabus, is carried out by Christopher Curtis, CEO CG International (www.cginternational.org), a company that develops educational programmes for entrepreneurship in various countries, especially in Canada where it is based.
