Companies and youngster adhere to “Estagiar” programme

Over 600 entities have applied for the traineeship programmes in the Azores: “Estagiar L,” is addressed at youngsters holding a degree or master’s degree and “Estagiar T,” in turn, is addressed at vocational training school students. The application period ended on August 31 at 12 AM.
Most of the entities that have applied to the traineeship programmes (over 400) are private companies, followed by non-profit entities (nearly 140), cooperatives (30) and some public entities. More than 720 trainees were accepted in the “Estagiar” programmes, which is about the same number of trainees in previous years. The entities whose structure indicated a lower recruitment of trainees were not covered.
The “Estagiar” programmes have registered a significant adherence of youngsters and companies thanks to the new online application form and the new legislation on this initiative. The traineeship offers have exceeded all application periods registered so far and there are still 543 available traineeship offers.
The traineeships start on October 1, following the conformation of the documents attached to each application, the verification of the information submitted by the applicants as well as of the traineeship contracts. The final outcome will be known on September 30 after the final approval of the applications and the respective notifications.
