The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Forestry will visit the National Agricultural Fair in Santarém next Friday. Once more, the Azores are represented by the institutional stand of the Regional Government.
Noé Rodrigues, who will attend the event on behalf of the President of the Government, will visit the fair with particular emphasis on the Azores stand that will display a variety of regional products which are available for tasting.
The Azores stand, with an area of 150 square metres, counts upon the participation of over fifty businesspeople from all islands who, at the invitation of the President of the Government of the Azores, seek new business opportunities to promote their products.
This year, the Azores will be in the spotlight again with the visit of a delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, António Serrano and by the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dacian Ciola, to take place also on Friday.
Various Azorean productions will on display at the fair, such as pineapple, honey, flowers, preserves, cheeses, jams, spices, liqueurs and wines, among others, representing more than four dozen of companies from the archipelago.
