The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Forestry assigned, for around 970 thousand Euros, the building and improvement of the Caminho Agricola da Coroa. It also invested in the construction of a water-supply network in the Perímetro de Ordenamento Agrário (Agrarian Ordering Perimeter or POA) of Maia/Fenais da Ajuda, on the island of São Miguel.

The construction of these public works, entrusted to the company Eng. Luis Gomes, SA, is to be executed in a period of four months and will consist in the paving of an agricultural road with concrete. The road will be seven kilometres long and five meters wide.

These works also include the reconstruction of the drainage system, namely: the construction of sinks, substitution of gutters and other drainage means.

A water-supply system will be installed throughout the extension of the road (5 km). It will provide water for 60 parcels of land.
