Azorean agricultural explorations with medium production twice superior to the national one
The gross production margin per agricultural exploration (MB/Exploration) in the Azores was situated, in the last eight years, in 16,7 thousand euros, a value twice superior to the value of the indicator of productivity found for the whole Country in the same period.
Data supplied by the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Forestry also indicate that, time space in reference, the value of the gross work / year margin in the Azores (MB/UTA) reached, in the Region, 20,5 thousand euros, corresponding amount to the triple of the checked one at national level.
The numbers of that department of the Executive of Carlos César point to a “growing evolution of the profits of the farmer and a consolidated economical stability” shown by a “better value of the economical dimension of the explorations and of profits” of the Azorean farmers to their colleagues of the Country.
According to the same data, the weight of the aids attributed in the Region by regional programs co-financed by the Union European and managed by the regional administration in the profit of the agricultural explorations are, on average, 37 percent.
